Allen Walker decides to become an exorcist to atone for his sin in turning his surrogate father into an Akuma, who in return cursed him to see disguised demon. His anti-Akuma weapon is his parasitic deformed left arm that turns into giant claw.
He is actually soft hearted for an exorcist. He has so much compassion that at times makes it difficult for him to execute his orders. A trait that never fails to get into Kanda Yu's nerve.
Even at the face of all evilness, Allen managed to maintain his guileless aura and his big appetite. He’s determined to destroy Akuma to prevent anyone else going through the anguish he felt when his father died.
