Background:
Saying that Tezuka Kunimitsu is serious is an understatement.
Tezuka is dead serious with tennis and his responsibilities as Seigaku’s team captain. His greatest dream is to win the Nationals and he instills that dream to the whole team. He’s actually nurturing a handicap when some jealous teammates way back first year, hit his left arm with a racket. But since we are talking about Tezuka here, that injury will never and will not stop him from playing and winning.
Throughout the story, the probability that Tezuka will smile is zero! Though, he did do it once for few priceless seconds. His facial muscles are so tight they seem to be injected with botox. Since he is pokerfaced, more often than not, he is mistaken as Seigaku teacher.
He is very intimidating and very strict. He never tolerates laziness in practice, thus gives out run laps as penalty, even to regulars. He’s popular with girls but no one is brave enough to come forward.
